CDFS SWIRE C Nov07

From NYU CCPP Wiki

This is a page about the PRIMUS project.

The CDFS-SWIRE observations for November 2007 targets galaxies and QSOs detected the optical/IR imaging. In the faint bin, we've tried to make sure suspected QSOs and bright IR sources are included for certain.

Daniel worked out how to select galaxies appropriately from this catalog, using his SWIRE target prescription (which I hope to have copied correctly). All targets used below pass the "basic cuts" and aren't a bright star. Before having the cuts applied, all SDSS filter magnitudes have had the SWIRE AB corrections applied. However, the catalogs we carry around do not have these applied; the catalogs are left alone.

The priorities are:

  1. SWIRE_CALIB (107): F stars (from the optical imaging)
  2. SWIRE_BRIGHT, SWIRE_FAINT (207): Density-dependent sparse-sampled primary objects. Bright set is everything with iAB < 22.5. Faint set is 22.5 < iAB < 23.5, where IR sources and external sources are guaranteed. Other faint galaxies (with iAB < 23) are sparse sampled at 30% if collided, 100% if not.
  3. SWIRE_FILL (307): All sources not in primary sample with iAB < 23.5.
