Cosmos v1a Mar06
From NYU CCPP Wiki
This is a page about the PRIMUS project.
The COSMOS field is a large HST pointing with lots of multiwavelength coverage. It is meant to be our bread and butter science for Spring 2006.
The priorities are:
- SDSS_CALIB (102): SDSS F-stars (~ 30)
- COSMOS_GALAXY, COSMOS_GALAXY_FAINT (202): COSMOS 17.3<i<22.7 galaxies plus 30% of 22.7<i<23.2 galaxies, density dependent sparse sampled (~ 2000)
- COSMOS_GALAXY_FILL (302): Remainder of 17.3<i<22.7 galaxies (~ 300)
- COSMOS_GALAXY_FAINT_FILL (402): Remainder of 30% of 22.7<i<23.2 galaxies (~ 30)
- COSMOS_PSF (502): COSMOS PSFs with i<23.2 (~ 300)
- COSMOS_GALAXY_FAINT_FILL2 (602): The other 70% of 22.7<i<23.2 galaxies (~ 300)
- COSMOS_GALAXY_FAINTEST (702): COSMOS galaxies with 23.2<i<24.0 (~ 800)
- SKY (10000): sky slits (~ 100)
There are about 4000 total in a mask.
