ES1 SWIRE B Oct06
From NYU CCPP Wiki
This is a page about the PRIMUS project.
The ES1-SWIRE observations for October 2006 targets galaxies and QSOs detected the optical/IR imaging.
Daniel worked out how to select galaxies appropriately from this catalog, using his SWIRE target prescription (which I hope to have copied correctly). All targets used below pass the "basic cuts" and aren't a bright star. Before having the cuts applied, all SDSS filter magnitudes have had the SWIRE AB corrections applied. However, the catalogs we carry around do not have these applied; the catalogs are left alone.
These F-stars are based on B, V, R colors from SWIRE.
There are some notable differences between this field and the CDFS field:
- There is only one external catalog guaranteed at the faint end (the Berta catalog)
- When excluding bright stars, QSOs are checked for with only the IR cuts, not the optical
The priorities are:
- SWIRE_CALIB (107): F stars (from the optical imaging)
- SWIRE_BRIGHT, SWIRE_FAINT (207): Density-dependent sparse-sampled primary objects. Bright set is everything with R < 22.7. Faint set is 22.7 < R < 23.7, where IR sources and external sources are guaranteed. Other faint galaxies (with R < 23.2) are sparse sampled at 30% if collided, 100% if not.
- SWIRE_FILL (307): All sources not in primary sample with R < 23.2.
